Hair Tonics

Sorry for the lack of updates! Here are some vintage hair tonics from "Personal Beauty." Please use these at your own risk, as they were published in 1870 and may be iffy!


Take--

Of Castor Oil one ounce
Liquor of ammonia one ounce
Best French brandy two ounces
Rose water six ounces


The above recipe should be used no more than every other day.


Apply this next one morning and evening.


Strong decoction of Peruvian bark half a pint
Brandy wineglassful
Glycerine tablespoonful



This next one apparently had great success.


Old Whiskey half a pint
Rock salt as much as will dissolve
Glycerine tablespoonful
Flour of sulphur teaspoonful
